A little of this, and a little of that!

cute things:

Random things:

Been house-sitting for my dad, and Kim, and got to watch Scout.
such a cute cute puppy, but has a barking problem. One that seems to happen at night... I
have had such little sleep this week that I feel like i'm getting sick, and i'm slightly delirious.
But, it was still fun to get to hang out there and be with my puppy.

Jerod's birthday was last weekend and we had a good time, that's him with his canoli and candle.
We went to a little local italian restaurant called Othello's and that's what they did.

Sorry posts have been so sporadic, I'll try and be better!

Holy Moly - Motorcade

This video makes me extremely happy...well the song does, the video is quite strange, but lovable after a few times.

Sorry it's been so long, my laptop had to be fixed it hated me for a little bit, but I took it to the Mac Dr and got it fixed... I thought it was the backlight of the screen, but it was the video card...a bit (1200.00) more expensive, BUT my computer was young so they fixed it free of charge!!

This is all I have for you, but I promise fun happenings from the weekend!

And we'll close on a northern canadian sunset.

Too Long, je suis desole!

Jack-o-lanterns!
Arguably one of the best parts of Halloween.
This year we used stencils, it was my first time to try them out, they were pretty fun, although the eye/nose part of mine was too thin and had to be stapled back on. whoops.
Jerod and I went to the Chris Isaak concert.
It.Was.Awesome.
Blue sequin suit to mirror suit. elvis voice to guitar dances.
so so good, and a first time at Riverwind Casino.
The man himself.
Shoe love.
Dolce Vita for Target.
holeymoley.
And so comfortable! you can tell they are designer, even if made with cheaper materials.
love.

Tiny nail scissors from New York Style Mag
Wouldn't it be cool if i could cut hair with these things??
Ok, so this is in this year.
heads up, it's puffy jackets again.
really?
This looks like a creepy version of Kenny (who killed kenny) and the girl from The Ring.
No thank you.
Happy Halloween kids and wanna be kids.
I can't wait!

bAM!

LacEy and I went to a 'blogger meet up' in OKC at Red Prime.
It was really awesome to get to meet local people that were interested in the same thing we are!
The Drunken Fry
The bar LacEy and I went to after our meet up to have some girl hang out time.
It was really nice, and the fries and dipping sauces were amazing.
a bleu cheese mix and a truffle and mushroom mix sauce.
mmmmm.

One of my friends Jillian got married to my other friend Robbie. It
was an absolutely beautiful ceremony filled love and amazing weather. I love
where she got married. It was at the home she grew up in, surrounded by giant trees and a pond.
So perfect. topped off with Mediterranean food and a cake inspired by a mosaic from a Mosque that Jill visited in the middle east. What an awesome couple
Me and my handsome date. ;)
Me and my beautiful friend.
And me and my VINTAGE cowboy boots.
They were my grandmother's and they are older then me.
I absolutely love them.

Photomania!

This last one the license reads: HUSFRND. husband+friend. EW.
A cute little thought, that should have been kept to yourself.

A lot of good food, wine and company lately.

the puppy dog is Scout, the handsome man is Jerod, the wine is from The Wedge, those are hash browns not worms, those are smores that were made on the table at Flat Tire Burger (!!) and that's Kayne Gillaspie at his fashion show at the Regional Food Bank...My salon did the hair/makeup for it!!!

So that was in no particular order, also the longest run on ever!

Behind on Finds!

So, my internet has been on and off lately and so have I, so now here is a real update.

A few great finds...
These are BCBG from TJMAX today. Super excited, because they were a good deal,
but also, because they're super cute, and way comfortable.

20 dollars.
holy moley.
Rocket Dog, and awesome plaid heels with a tweed inner pattern!

Cute home stuff from TJMAX too.
Lavender oil sticks (7$) and
really cute ORANGE, wooden frame (picture not included ;) 5$)

So basically don't go into this store unless you are wanting to buy really great things.

On a final and triumphant note:::

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

An update in pictures:

Got this app on my phone today.
Entertainment.

Got 3 awesome shirts here, ON SALE :)

This was my dinner, yumm Auntie Anne's.

This was the movie that I went to see with my mom.
She just finished the book, and I'd read it awhile back. I love it. I'd
actually already seen the movie, but felt so inspired by it I wanted to see it again.

A premise of the book/movie was a box that protagonist had filled with National
Geographic magazines and travel articles because it was a goal; something that defined her.  Her best friend's box was filled with baby items, because being a mother was something she'd always dreamed of.
I left the movie thinking and thinking (the first time), what would be in my box?

On a not so serious note:
This enjoyed the movie with us.
Not once, not twice, but 3 times did this creature CRAWL across my lap.
sick, sick, sick.
My mom and I were in paranoid, laughing, swatting hysterics during the majority of the movie.

Vintage

So my expensive taste wont be ending any time soon. I saw these at the mall yesterday, they are Steven by Steve Madden. Love them.  They seem completely worn in and old...and $200. Steven is the grown up equivalent to the chunky Steve Madden boots that I wore as a freshman in high school so that I could be nearly 6 feet tall. From awkward teenager to sleek and fashion forward.

I got some really awesome things to add to my vintage grandma collection.
I am really lucky to have 2grandmas that keep their older clothes/accessories,
and that they have always had good taste.

ear muffs and all.

ooo lala
From all eras and materials (including red alligator, shhh don't tell)
and a really nice flat, red clutch.
I. Love. Vintage.
especially when it's so personal and has a story.

Last but not least, my lovely grandparents going over the last minute details of
their road trip up the coast of Maine, starting tomorrow!

A-dorable.

I Heart Shoes

I love shoes.
I recently told my boyfriend that if I had to pick one accessory, or article of clothing that I had to wear
always, forsaking all others, it would be shoes.
One week later, I found out that one of my legs is shorter than the other and now I have to wear a 9mm lift in my left shoe...thus making most of my shoes unwearable, except for a few hours at a time.
ANYWAY
Anthropologie has the cutest 'booties' right now! and of course I have 400+ taste. Ridiculous.
love #1

love #2

Excuse me while I remove the drool from my keyboard.
Oh Spanish leather/designers, you know how to make a good shoe.

The Beginning

Well let's start slow; these are my favorite flowers. I love the rawness of this picture. I love pictures.

I'd like to start this like we're all old friends, because I'm much better at that, than talking to strangers!

But... just in case, my name is Andie. I love all things design and inspiring because it's what keeps me going. My passion. It's nice to meet you :)

I do hair for a local salon, this morning we just got certified to do the Copalla Keratin Complex, and it's been a busy day!

I decided last night that I've wanted to learn to play the piano, so I'm going to do it... with the help of 30 year old practice books and my mom- who hasn't played in maybe that amount of time either... but I'm determined, and have the means!

I'm a book-aholic, which I could think of worse things. I'm currently reading ::

It's really awesome. Suspense and beautifully written, how often do you find that??
I'm also not opposed to the 'Teen Novels', even though I'm way past that point, I just finished this series::

My sister and I both fell in love with them and have been telling everyone we know about them.
And I'll leave you with this::
A less dorky post next time.
